Together, we make magic.

“Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free.”
– Starhawk
Welcome, sisters.
Many of us take an individual approach to our spiritual life. Whether we’re honoring practices from generations of ancestors or beginning to explore our own spirituality and magic, self-exploration can be wild and powerful. Honoring the voice within in is how we begin to claim the essence of ourselves and our unique gifts.
Why then, do we need a coven? Because the unique magic of community can deepen the connection to ourselves and spirit. Sharing and receiving in a group is an act of vulnerability and courage, which helps us build a grounded foundation to stand up for ourselves. Learning from each other and co-creating a safe, brave, and magical space is a labor of love and it teaches us necessary skills to guard and nurture our magic.
At a time when all women, and especially those with intersectional identities, are bearing the weight of continued attacks on our rights, wellbeing, freedom, and our very lives, communities of sisterhood are more important than ever.
We must allow ourselves to feel what is happening in community so that we can integrate this experience and begin to rise. I understand the impulse to hide, to isolate and self-distract from the chaos, to pray the storm will simply pass. I feel it, too. But the more hidden we seek to be, the more invisible we become. If we hush our voices and hide our truths, they become easier to wipe from the cultural narrative, they disappear like so much smoke. Our truths can be held in the power of the circle; our voices are stronger when blended together.
